A massive fire has torn through the office building last night (Aug 1st). We are working to figure out a solution to get everything back online ASAP. Hansen Software Corporation is working hard at building its CASH+ Call Accounting Toll Fraud Module.
What is Toll Fraud:
Toll fraud is when people break in to your PBX, using Direct Inward System Access (DISA), remote access and maintenance ports, or modems and place calls as though they originated from your system. They also break into your voicemail system and take over mailboxes, and/or steal long distance by obtaining an outside line, or by programming mailboxes to accept third party billed calls. In other instances, they use your toll free numbers to make calls that you didn’t intend to or want to pay for. Also, they bill international calls to your telephone number by employing a third number billing scam.
Triggers of Toll Fraud:
- Heavy call volume on nights, weekends and holidays
- Unusual amount of short duration calls
- Long distance calls exceeding more than $500, $1500, etc.
- Use of 911, 411, 555-1212 calls and 900 calls
- Calls exceeding a specific length (longest calls)
- Trunk to trunk calls
- Increase in toll free traffic
- Toll calls originating from voicemail lines

What is a Service?
A service is a method to run a program independently of human inputs. Users aren’t required to turn Services on; they start the moment the computer is powered up. Users can’t turn services off.
A Service allows a computer program to run without requiring a user to turn it on, and it cannot be shut off. It simply runs invisible to the user and processes the data so long as the computer is turned on. The computer doesn’t even have to be logged on! This new feature makes CASH+ a leader in the Call Management industry.
Furthermore, Services have an added security benefit. If you have the collection and processing service running on a server machine you don’t need to log the server in. This provides an added layer of security for network administrators.

Hansen Software’s CASH+ Call Accounting has completed IP interface certification process with micros/Fidelio. We are very pleased to work with micros/Fidelio in order to provide hospitality customers with a much needed solution. We now can connect our call tracking software and their PM software Opera and Opera Express via IP. We still support RS-232 for those clients currently using CASH+ and Opera. All new installations will use the IP interface. No more cables or comports required. Yeah!

We are pleased to inform you that Hansen Software Corporation has been accepted into the Cisco Developer Network (CDN).
Cisco and Hansen Software Corporation will work together under Cisco Interoperability Verification Testing (IVT) for Cisco CM 7, 8 and UCCMe.
Interoperability Verification Testing (IVT) program objective is to provide a verification that the registered Developer’s product (CASH+ Call Accounting) meet four specific criteria set out by Cisco.
Hansen Software Corporation is very pleased with its decesion to join the Cisco Developer Network Program. CASH+ Call Accounting is already compatible with the Cisco product however it is always preferrable to go through the correct certification processes in order to gain strength as a vendor in the call accounting software industry today.
At the end of this process CASH+ Call Accounting software will successfully integrate and scale as defined by Cisco design guides and Developer’s product specifications. CASH+ Call Accounting will also install and functionally operate/perform as indicated in collateral and specifications. This process will also prove that CASH+ Call Accounting Reporting Software can integrate successfully with Cisco products while not adversely affecting Cisco product operation or the integrated solution.

As was in the past, CASH+ Call Accounting software is still and will continue to be compatible with all Nortel and Avaya products. All older products are still supported as well, from Lucent to Norstar!
Companies using Avaya, Nortel or any other make of phone system can use CASH+ Call Accounting to generate a wide variety of reports. CASH+ Call Accounting software is compatible with IP connection phone system as well as the traditional serial connection.
CASH+ Call Accounting was a Nortel Development Partner for many years and is still an Avaya DevConnect partner, and so continues this relationship.
Don’t forget, not only is CASH+ Call Accounting compatible with every phone system on the market to date, it is also compatible with almost every property management system, accounting and law packages. CASH+ Call Accounting will automatically export the proper information via interface to these products to streamline your solutions.
